IS DESIGN CORRECT..?
I saw Dustbin sculptured in shape of a Emperor Penguin.. It provoked a thought.. then I recalled of dustbins in figures of Monkey and frog and other animals? Aren't we deliberately doing these BAD DESIGNS? and thus teaching the coming generations to THROW THE TRASH BACK INTO OUR OWN NATURAL WORLD. AREN"T WE POLLUTING OUR OWN SPACE and THE ANIMAL's SPACE..? IS DESIGN RIGHT HERE in doing so..?? Too many questions..!

nice thought GG...this is a debateable comment. I believe something in lines with urs. I believe that we are forgetting the fact tht we r living in a world where all species of animals live. here, people talks about India being superpower and masterminds creating more and more interfaces for HUMAN BEINGS...Man, we are not thinking about the poor animals and birds that have gone extinct and are at the verge of it...let animals and birds and all other species live...deforestation for building cities, skyscrapers, widening roads would all end up with a DANGEROUSLY BAD RESULT....about an hour ago ·

Ashish Narayan ASHA osum ur thots r governed by rahu, path breaking and taboo breaker..here u talk about penguins and monkeys to bulid bins wd human faces..let they reach that level of the evolutionary cycle..till then lets enjoi their forms and associations as bins...since modern geometry or other inaniamte forms wudnt provoke the living prana which we otherwise associate wd these animal formed bins...

Asha Kumari no way darling sorry to disagree with on this but have you noticed their fate after a few months when their face is dirt smeared and the paints begin to chip off they hold no attraction for wither the kids or youth......but certainly twists ur perspecive of the animal because how often do u see an actual penguin so gradually ur image of the penguin gets associated with that withered penguin trash box

Ever thought of a Bin that could be moulded as Humans { lets take a example, say its Ur face with some gaping wide mouth and a pouty pair of lip (no offences intended) }. It can be even anyone, a Laden an Obama, or Mayawati.. anyone..! with bright colours and attarctive lusture.. Ashish Narayan and then trash designs in animal forms seems minscule..there r larger issues for concern, poaching , for skin and other precious articles...using the domestic animals to the maximum and so on and so forth..

We can play with innumerous forms in the world.. As designers we can create new ones as well, but i guess Should spare these animals..

In my opinion,I think consumers may not be receptive to such designs that is literal and too loud a warning,on your face.They may know cigarrete smoking is unhealthy,but they don't want something that seem to be shouting at them everytime they smoke. In that case,perhaps Stark graphics on all ash trays, with warning msgs, must be enforced by the law.
Nonetheless,I must appreciate your creative thought. Cigarrete ash tray in the shape of lungs and hearts is a very good idea for an awareness campaign.31 minutes ago · · 3 people

@ Gurmeet Sir - Manufacturer would have made that bin only once a designer would have designed that.. Both might have had a different perspective, Designer would have thought that a kid playing in a Park would love the form.. ( i guess he never thought deeper into it).. and made the design.. The manufacturer made it for parks and gardens.. But the the masses ..! what of them.. now since the form was available and the cost was less ( i guess) Our Poor EMPEROR PENGUINS are not seen in Antarctica diving in icy waters.. The are collecting people's left over food, plastics, probably even sanitary napkins in all nooks and corners of the concrete jungle..!28 minutes ago ·
